前首相 John Prescott 主持的2小时纪录片。相当有趣。John Prescott 虽然有时候看上去词不达意，但其实是个很有亲和力的，他的魅力在于他的“大老粗”但其实对世界很有看法、但又愿意听取别人的看法的形象。

完整的看了2辑后，我觉得john perscott对真实的世界是有见解的和看法的，而且是很基于阶级本质去看问题。但是，他明显的不是个肯听取别人意见的人，相反，他自身的看法太根深蒂固，甚至有点偏执。他非常天然的同情也宽容working class，但对middle class不屑而且带有攻击性，而对upper class他是有相当的自卑感。这是个很矛盾的一体，也许跟随他一辈子的困扰。他的思想负担太沉重了。

节目的探讨还是满有深度的，毕竟阶级是个有意思的项目范畴（尤其是在英国更加如此），而john perscott这个人的经历也是个有代表性/和资格的人去探讨这个话题。在他固执之外，你不得不承认他的可爱的一面----直率坦承，始终坚持自己working class的背景，要知道多数人都是喜欢为自己涂脂抹粉的。这是个直率的人，虽然有点偏激。

不知道为什么其他很多的人在节目里相当的喜欢拿这个人嘲讽，节目一播，have i got the news for you里已经那他开涮了，但是几个嘉宾和主持在看了那个working class girl否认自己是working class因为她不工作时，却嘲笑的忽然相当收敛，几乎忽然有点严肃，（观众是在暴笑的）；不知道是不是种政治正确的顾忌/表现？

整体来说，是个难得的好节目。至少bbc迎合低俗的节目之余，还是有在做些深一层的探讨的节目。
